EMD 48" Radiator Cooling Fan & EMD 48" Dynamic Brake Cooling Fan
What you are seeing here are preliminary test shots. These are not up to my standard for
surface finish. They are rapid prototype parts. RP creates a rather rough surface on small
parts. Not over the entire surface, just on certain sides depending on how the RP build is
setup. In the photos you can see the rougher surface finish. My goal is to get these injection
molded where I can get the surface finish I want. The kits will be an assembly. They will
include the base/motor, upper fan guard, fan hub, fan blades (photo etched) and fan grill
(photo etched). The photo etched grills will be VERY fine and allow you to see into the fan
area as you do on the prototype. The fan blades will assemble between the motor base and
the fan hub.
I guess the photos do not really show the rough surface. Believe me it is and I
would not sell these in the condition they are in. I would loose customers.

I do like how they can look though. They have the correct heights and the fan hub
configuration is correct. The etchings will not be done until the actual parts are
made.

If these are a success, I have the other fan designs all drawn up and ready.
