The following are just general overall photos. The model is ready for paint. That is what I thought!
While getting ready to put an undercoat of B&O blue in a few choice places to peel paint from to
show the blue, I came across a rather definitive detail I over looked. Entering into this project I
thought I was up against a pretty easy build. A standard run of the mill SD40 except for the trucks, I
merely went along my way building the model. It wasn't until I started looking at the areas that I
needed to add the B&O blue undercoat to that I found my glaring prototype mistake. See if you can
find it. The mistake has been fixed or rather the detail has been altered and added. You will see it
on the next page. A clue though is that the mistake for this unit is located on the left side in the first
photo.
